Technology

Use of information Communication Technology(ICT) in Nyeri Good shepherd dates back in the
year 1999. Learners at all levels of learning are exposed to digital literacy.
The types of digital devices used in our ICT laboratory are modern and extremely fast. The classrooms are
fitted with digital televisions which are used to integrate digital learning at any point within a lesson.
The integration of ICT has greatly enhanced both teaching and learning since pupils are able to do personal
research and save their work for future reference. They also undertake virtual field trips which would
otherwise be very costly or impossible without ICT. The teachers can also prepare their teaching and
material adequately, professionally and comfortably.
The school management has also equipped the ICT lab with a modern laptops in the ratio of 1:1, interactive
board (ebeam-electron beam) and projectors which are used in teaching to display still images and videos
during lesson demonstrations. This mode of teaching and learning is interactive which makes lessons more
captivating.
With ICT, the Shepherds are able to comfortably interact both locally and internationally at the touch of a
button. The Shepherd aspire to grow with technology for a better tomorrow.
